Job Description
Auto Body / Collision Repair Technician Universal Auto Group is hiring an experienced Auto Body / Collision Repair Technician for our centralized body shop, which handles collision and body work for multiple dealerships across our group. Because we service several stores from one facility, you'll have a steady, high-volume pipeline of work and the stability of an established dealership group behind you. If you take pride in clean, safe, high-quality repairs and want consistent hours without chasing your own work, we'd like to talk to you. Tear down damaged vehicles, repair or replace body panels and components, and reassemble to factory specification Perform metalwork, structural/frame repair, and refinish/paint work [ adjust if painting is a separate role — see note below ] Help write accurate repair estimates and order the parts needed to complete each job Ensure every repair meets industry and OEM safety and quality standards Communicate repair progress and any supplements clearly with the service team and management Keep your bay and shared work areas clean, organized, and safe What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years of hands-on automotive body/collision repair experience High school diploma or equivalent Strong knowledge of modern collision repair techniques, including [ welding / aluminum repair Experience with estimating software such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex preferred I-CAR and/or ASE certification preferred Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail Able to meet the physical demands of the role (standing, bending, lifting) Tools & Equipment We provide the shop equipment you need to do the job right — [ paint booth, frame machine, welders, lifts, air tools, etc. ]. Technicians are expected to supply their own standard hand tools.
