A Good Technician Should Have the Opportunity to Be Great If you're an experienced automotive technician, you already know how much the shop around you affects your success. You can have the skills, tools, and work ethic — but if you're constantly waiting on parts, waiting on approvals, searching for work, dealing with poor communication, or working around broken processes, it's hard to produce at the level you're capable of. At Complete Auto Service Center, we believe the shop should help good technicians succeed — not get in their way. We're a locally owned independent repair shop in Richmond, Missouri, and we're looking for another experienced technician to join our team. We have the work. We have the equipment. We have the systems. We're looking for the right person to take advantage of the opportunity. What the Opportunity Looks Like Unlimited earning potential We want productive technicians to be rewarded for producing. If you have the ability and drive, we don't believe in putting an artificial ceiling on your income. Monday through Friday. No weekends. You can build a successful career in this industry without giving the shop every Saturday of your life. A process designed to get good work approved Your responsibility is to accurately inspect and diagnose vehicles, determine what they need, and document your findings clearly. We've built a system around you for inspections, estimates, customer communication, approvals, parts, dispatching, and quality control.
The goal is simple:
allow you to spend more of your day doing skilled work. A well-equipped, air-conditioned shop We invest in equipment, diagnostic tools, information systems, and shop tools because we expect professional work and want to provide a professional environment to do it in. A team that gets along We're serious about doing excellent work, but we don't believe that requires a high-stress, drama-filled shop. We actually like each other so we are careful who we hire because we want to continue to enjoy going to work. What We Provide $80,000-$120,000+ earning potential Monday-Friday schedule No weekends 100% paid health benefit Vision and dental insurance Profit sharing Paid time off Paid training and continued education Air-conditioned shop Modern diagnostic equipment and shop tools Consistent work and opportunity to produce Established inspection, estimating, dispatch, parts, and QC processes A proven system for presenting recommended repairs Opportunities for advancement as Complete Auto grows A locally owned company where your ideas and contribution matter Who We're Looking For This isn't an entry-level technician position. We're looking for someone who has made automotive repair a career and takes pride in being good at it. You should be comfortable with major mechanical repairs and diagnosing modern vehicles. We expect our technicians to be able to find the cause of a customer's concern — not simply replace parts until the problem goes away.
The right technician will be:
Experienced and capable of working independently Strong in electrical and mechanical diagnostics Productive and motivated by performance Comfortable performing major repairs Equipped with professional hand tools Comfortable using modern diagnostic equipment and service information Thorough when inspecting vehicles Able to clearly document findings and recommended repairs Willing to follow established processes Interested in continuing to improve their skills Able to communicate and work well with the rest of the team We're looking for someone who wants a place to build the next stage of their career — not just somewhere to work until the next opportunity comes along. You Don't Have to Apply to Come Talk to Us We understand that changing shops is a big decision. If you're a good technician, there's a good chance you're already employed. You may have spent years building relationships and a reputation where you are. We're not asking you to make a decision based on a job ad. Come see the shop. Meet our team. Look at the equipment. Ask how technicians are paid. Ask how work gets dispatched. Ask how parts are handled. Ask about inspections, estimates, approvals, training, and what kind of hours our technicians are actually producing. Then decide whether Complete Auto might be a better opportunity for you. If you're coming from the Kansas City area, don't automatically rule out Richmond because of the miles. Depending on where you're coming from, the drive can mean considerably less traffic and a lot less time sitting bumper-to-bumper. Want to Talk Before You Apply?
