Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as an Automotive Service Writer, where your enthusiasm for cars and exceptional communication skills will drive customer satisfaction and operational excellence. In this vital role, you will serve as the bridge between our valued clients and our skilled technicians, ensuring clear understanding of vehicle issues, accurate service documentation, and seamless service delivery. Your energetic approach will help create a positive experience for every customer, fostering loyalty and trust while supporting the efficient running of our service department. Duties Greet customers warmly upon arrival and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs. Clearly explain recommended repairs, maintenance procedures, and estimates using automotive diagnostics knowledge and estimating software. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, or transmission diagnostics to maximize customer value. Prepare detailed repair orders and estimates, ensuring all necessary parts and labor are accurately documented for mechanic technicians. Communicate effectively with service technicians to relay customer concerns and verify completed work aligns with initial estimates. Manage cash handling responsibilities and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate financial records. Skills Proven experience in dealership or auto repair shop environments with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes. Familiarity with auto estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, brakes, shocks & struts, air brakes, suspension components, tire service, and oil changes, etc. Excellent client communication skills to explain technical issues clearly and build rapport with customers. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as cash handling, estimating, and client follow-up simultaneously. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.50 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
