Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced Automotive Electrical Technicians to support vehicle electrical diagnostics and repairs at an OEM vehicle assembly facility. The technician will diagnose and repair complex automotive electrical systems, wiring, connectors, and components while providing technical guidance and mentoring to other repair personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair electrical issues in new OEM vehicles. Troubleshoot vehicle electrical systems and determine appropriate repair actions. Repair or replace faulty wiring, connectors, and electrical components . Install and repair vehicle wiring systems according to OEM standards. Troubleshoot and repair immobilizer and alarm systems . Perform advanced diagnostics using OEM diagnostic tools and electrical test equipment. Provide estimated repair times and communicate repair status to site leadership. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Complete job reports and required documentation. Mentor and coach other repair technicians on automotive electrical systems. Interpret vehicle electrical architectures and schematics as a Subject Matter Expert. Demonstrate effective methods for diagnosing and correcting electrical system deficiencies. Perform root cause analysis to identify causes of vehicle electrical problems. Share technical knowledge and lessons learned with site leadership and repair personnel. Travel occasionally to other U.S. facilities as required.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as an Automotive Electrical Repair Technician. Advanced knowledge of modern automotive electrical systems and diagnostics. Strong experience troubleshooting complex electrical problems.

Ability to read and interpret:

Digital multimeters OEM diagnostic scan tools Automotive diagnostic equipment Engineering-level electrical schematics Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in confined vehicle spaces. Ability to stand or work in crouched positions for extended periods. Ability to distinguish subtle color variations. Ability to conduct one-on-one and small-group technical discussions. Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

ASE Certification Previous experience as a Shop Foreman or Lead Technician Automotive electrical schematic development experience Automotive Technical Assistance Center (TAC) experience

Education:

Associate's degree or certificate in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline .

Work Schedule & Environment:

On-site position at an OEM vehicle assembly facility. Weekday and occasional weekend work may be required. 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift depending on assigned team rotation. Schedule may change based on operational requirements. Position requires working around vehicles and in confined spaces, including prolonged standing, crouching, bending, and reaching. TA01

Pay:

$36.00 - $39.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
