Job Overview We are seeking a skilled shop / truck technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of trucks, machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operational and our clients satisfied. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with diverse equipment types. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, and industrial machinery. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension work, and hydraulic system servicing Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during repair or testing procedures Troubleshoot electrical systems including automotive electrical systems repair and automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs performed on various vehicle systems Assist with assembly, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan Requirements Familiarity with heavy truck repair, diesel engine repair, transmissions, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and wheel alignment techniques Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance including air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, and tire service Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting safely Knowledge of automotive electrical systems repair along with general mechanical systems repair skills Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems. Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs. Repair and replace components such as brakes, air brake systems, and other essential parts. Operate heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles and equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards. Assist in heavy lifting tasks associated with equipment repair and maintenance.
