A/B & C-Level Automotive Technicians Bayou Automotive | Waveland, MS $20-$40 per Flag Hour | Based on Experience & Skill Level Bayou Automotive is growing, and we're looking for experienced, career-minded automotive technicians to join our team. We are currently hiring for the two positions listed below: A/B-Level Diagnostic Technician We are looking for an experienced technician who can actually diagnose a vehicle—not simply scan for codes and replace parts. The right candidate understands that a trouble code is the starting point of a diagnosis, not the answer.
You should be comfortable:
Developing and following a diagnostic strategy Using scan data to assist with diagnosis rather than relying solely on trouble codes Testing circuits, sensors, actuators, modules, wiring, and components to verify failures Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, TSBs, service information, specifications, and diagnostic procedures Using a DVOM and other diagnostic/testing equipment Diagnosing electrical, drivability, mechanical, starting/charging, cooling, HVAC, and other vehicle systems Determining the root cause of a concern before recommending repairs Performing repairs accurately and efficiently Clearly documenting diagnostic findings and test results Minimum 5 years of professional automotive technician experience preferred for this position. C-Level Automotive Technician We are also looking for an experienced C-Level Technician who is skilled, productive, and efficient with mechanical repairs and parts replacement. This position is ideal for a technician who may not yet be an advanced diagnostician but has solid automotive knowledge, knows their way around a vehicle, and can independently complete repairs correctly and efficiently. You should be comfortable performing work such as: Brakes and brake system repairs Steering and suspension Cooling system repairs Starting and charging systems Maintenance services Belts, hoses, batteries, and related repairs Component and parts replacement Basic to intermediate diagnostics Following service information and repair procedures Properly verifying repairs before returning the vehicle We're looking for someone who can be given an approved repair order and get the work done correctly, efficiently, and without needing constant supervision.
Compensation:
$20-$40 per flag hour, based on experience, skill level, diagnostic ability, and overall qualifications. Both positions are
FLAG-RATE ONLY.
There is no guaranteed hourly rate or guaranteed number of hours. Applicants should understand flag-rate compensation and be comfortable being paid based on productivity. Experienced, efficient technicians have the opportunity to earn accordingly.
