Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and overhaul complex mechanical systems including diesel engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and air brake systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on various vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles. Lead auto body repairs and auto estimating processes when necessary, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repairs. Expertise in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), automotive electrical systems, and electronic troubleshooting. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair, powertrain systems, transmissions, suspension components, and brake systems. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for precise repairs on complex mechanical systems. Familiarity with heavy equipment mechanics and auto body repair processes is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive maintenance procedures.
