40+ per week, high car count Introduction We are seeking an experienced A Level Automotive Technician to join a well-established, family-owned independent repair shop in Castle Hayne, North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled diagnostic technician who values quality workmanship, autonomy, and a stable, long-term work environment. The shop specializes in Honda, Acura, Toyota, and Lexus vehicles while also servicing a variety of domestic and European makes, offering a steady workflow and competitive compensation with weekly pay. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns on a variety of vehicle makes and models. Perform advanced diagnostics, major repair and replacement (R&R) work, and A/C diagnostics and repair. Inspect, diagnose, and repair engine, transmission, steering, suspension, braking, HVAC, and electrical systems. Utilize diagnostic scan tools and testing equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns. Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Communicate repair findings and recommendations with the service team as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following established shop procedures. Qualifications 10 or more years of professional automotive shop repair experience. Strong diagnostic and drivability troubleshooting skills. Experience performing advanced diagnostics, major mechanical repairs, and A/C diagnostics and repair. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience in dealership, independent repair shop environments, or both is preferred. ASE certifications are preferred but not required. Experience using diagnostic equipment such as Autel, TOPDON, and Snap-on scan tools is beneficial. Ability to perform the essential duties of the position independently and efficiently.Compensation & Benefits Flat Rate:
$40.00- 45.
Hybrid Pay Plan available:
Guaranteed base pay of $150 per day ($750 per week) . $25.00 per flagged hour for the first 40 flagged hours. $28.00 per flagged hour for flagged hours over 40. Weekly pay. Production incentives. Typical production expectation of 40+ flagged hours per week. Tool relocation assistance available. Approximately 15 paid days off annually, including major holidays and extended holiday closures.
