FLEET MECHANIC / DIESEL & TRAILER TECHNICIAN

Charlotte, NC | Full-Time | Starting at $28/hour, based on experience

JOIN FLEET EQUIPMENT

Fleet Equipment is expanding in Charlotte, NC, and we are looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic / Diesel & Trailer Technician to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to help build a new operation while working on commercial trailers and fleet equipment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, lighting, air, and trailer systems. Repair or replace brakes, hubs, bearings, suspension, landing gear, doors, lights, wiring, and other components. Perform welding/fabrication when qualified. Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records. Communicate equipment conditions and repair needs to the Service Manager. Complete work safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. Assist with priority repairs and maintain a clean, organized work area.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience as a Fleet Mechanic, Trailer Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Heavy-Duty Technician, Truck Technician, or similar role . Commercial trailer or heavy-duty equipment experience preferred. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, brake, and suspension systems. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus. ASE, TIA, or other relevant certifications are a plus. Military mechanics and heavy equipment technicians are encouraged to apply.
