Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across vehicle electrical systems, powertrains, transmissions, suspension systems, and more. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, steering, brakes, and electrical wiring diagrams interpretation. Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignment adjustments, and brake inspections to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs, welding tasks, and component replacements while adhering to safety standards. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose complex problems like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration or diesel engine repairs. Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate auto estimating for repairs and communicate repair progress clearly to customers. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with dealership or industry standards for automotive repair. Skills Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Proficiency in reading automotive wiring diagrams, schematics, and understanding vehicle systems including ADAS technology. Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, vehicle suspension system repair, and transmission system repairs. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems and the use of automotive diagnostic tools for troubleshooting. Skilled in vehicle maintenance procedures such as wheel alignments, transmission repairs, diesel engine work, and welding techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and professionally. Strong technical proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and auto estimating software; familiar with GM vehicles is a plus.
