Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanic to join our dynamic industrial maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment within a manufacturing facility. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics. Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems with the aid of electrical blueprints, schematics, voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Conduct equipment repairs including stick welding, welding repairs, and replacement of faulty components to minimize downtime. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future maintenance tasks. Diagnose complex electrical problems related to low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician tasks, and electrical troubleshooting. Assist with technical sales support by providing expert advice on equipment repairs or upgrades when needed. Qualifications Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities or industrial environments as a mechanic or maintenance technician. Knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (stick welding), and precision measurement instruments - preferred welding experience but not mandatory. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, reading schematics, and working with PLCs. Familiarity with HVAC/R systems, electrical blueprint reading, low voltage wiring, and electrical maintenance practices. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and analysis skills for complex troubleshooting scenarios.
