Godspeed Auto Group is hiring an experienced Automotive Store Manager / General Manager for our Meineke Car Care Center in Harrisburg, NC . This is not an entry-level management position, and we are not looking for someone to simply open the doors, answer phones, and maintain a schedule. We are looking for someone who can run a shop. You need to understand automotive repair, know how to sell service professionally, lead technicians, control gross profit, manage workflow, take care of customers, and take ownership of the store's results. WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

As Store Manager, you are responsible for the overall performance of the Harrisburg location .

Your responsibilities include:

Driving profitable sales Managing gross profit Building and presenting repair estimates Following up on declined and unsold work Leading technicians and service advisors Managing daily shop workflow Keeping technicians productive Monitoring repair quality and reducing comebacks Hiring, training, coaching, and developing employees Maintaining proper staffing Handling customer concerns professionally Controlling parts and labor costs Maintaining inventory and shop organization Monitoring sales and key performance indicators Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional facility Following and enforcing company processes and procedures You should know what's happening at the front counter, in every bay, and in your numbers.

YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO SELL AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR

This position requires someone who is comfortable selling automotive maintenance and repair. You should be able to take a technician's findings, understand what the vehicle needs, communicate those recommendations to the customer, build value, and confidently ask for the sale.

You should be comfortable:

Selling maintenance and mechanical repairs Presenting larger repair estimates Reviewing digital vehicle inspections Explaining technician recommendations Following up on unsold estimates Calling previous customers Building repeat business Increasing average repair order Improving closing percentage Protecting gross profit while taking care of the customer When business slows down, we don't want a manager who sits around waiting for the phone to ring. We want someone who creates opportunities.

AUTOMOTIVE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

You do not have to be the technician performing every repair, but you must understand automotive repair well enough to manage technicians and confidently communicate with customers. Requirements Previous automotive shop management experience Strong automotive repair and service knowledge Proven automotive sales experience Experience leading technicians and service advisors Understanding of repair orders and estimates Understanding of parts, labor, and gross profit Ability to manage workflow and technician productivity Strong leadership and accountability skills Excellent customer-service and communication skills Computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems Dependable and reliable attendance Professional appearance and communication Valid driver's license Ability to learn and follow Godspeed Auto Group processes
