We are an established independent used car dealership looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team. We buy and sell quality used vehicles and need a dependable technician who can inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles before they are put on our lot. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a smaller dealership where their work makes a direct impact. Responsibilities Perform mechanical inspections and diagnose vehicle problems Complete routine maintenance and repairs Perform brake, suspension, steering, and electrical repairs Diagnose check-engine lights and other mechanical issues Perform oil changes, tune-ups, and general maintenance Inspect vehicles coming into inventory and determine needed repairs Prepare vehicles for sale Perform test drives and verify completed repairs Maintain a clean and organized work area Communicate repair needs and parts requirements with management Work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards Qualifications Previous automotive repair experience preferred Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of makes and models Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Must have your own basic hand tools Valid driver's license and good driving record Reliable transportation Dependable, honest, and able to work independently ASE certification is a plus, but not required Commercial Vehicle knowledge is a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Consistent work in an established independent dealership Variety of vehicles and repair work Monday-Saturday Opportunity for additional hours when available A straightforward, team-oriented work environment The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who knows how to diagnose a vehicle, fix it correctly, and get the job done without needing to be micromanaged.
