This role involves working closely with our Service Writer and Parts team to keep operations running smoothly while carrying out preventative maintenance and maintaining a clean, organized, and safety‑focused workspace. What You'll Do Perform safety inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty and niche municipal equipment. Work on vac trucks, hydro vacs, street sweepers, refuse/recycling trucks, and more. Collaborate with the Service Writer and Parts team to ensure efficient service. Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, safe workspace. Compensation Competitive hourly rate; based on education and experience Quarterly bonus opportunity - up to $1,500.00 Annual performance review, with increase opportunity Technician sign-on bonus - up to $1,500.00 based on experience Training program with bonus opportunity - up to $3,000.00 Premium health and welfare insurance benefits Vacation and paid personal days 401(k) Employer matching program

Monday-Friday - occasional extended hours may be required based on operational needs. What You Bring Education from an accredited technical school in diesel engine/hydraulics/heavy equipment repair preferred but not required Valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract Completion of a job-related background check in accordance with applicable laws 3+ years' experience working in a mechanic / technician role Experienced with hydraulic and/or electrical work Who We Are Joe Johnson Equipment (JJE) is a leading distributor of public works equipment across Canada and the U.S. We support municipalities and contractors with equipment such as vacuum trucks, refuse and recycling vehicles, street sweepers, and sewer inspection systems.
