Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, this role involves diagnosing issues, completing preventive maintenance, and repairing major vehicle systems. The Mechanic plays a critical role in upholding safety standards, maintaining compliance with federal and state requirements, and supporting the overall operational goals of the maintenance department. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Inspect, adjust, repair, replace, and service vehicle systems and components as needed. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, air brake, and AC issues, completing necessary repairs. Verify vehicle performance through test drives and system checks. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and reduce downtime. Maintain accurate service records, including inspections, repairs, and preventive work. Comply with all federal and state vehicle safety, emissions, and combustion control standards. Service and repair AC systems as required. Shop Operations & Compliance Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment. Keep shop equipment in good working condition by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting breakdowns. Complete all required paperwork for jobs in an accurate and timely manner. Follow safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment. Support other shop and operational duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or management.
