Job Description
We're looking for a customer-focused Service Writer / Inside Sales Representative to join a busy automotive service team. If you have experience in automotive service, parts, or inside sales and enjoy helping customers, this is a great opportunity to build a long-term career. As a Service Writer / Inside Sales Representative , you'll be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring every service visit is handled professionally while identifying opportunities to recommend additional maintenance and repair services. Responsibilities Greet customers in person and over the phone with exceptional customer service. Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues. Schedule service appointments and coordinate workflow with technicians. Prepare accurate estimates for maintenance and repair services. Keep customers updated throughout the repair process. Review completed repairs and explain services performed. Recommend additional maintenance and service opportunities when appropriate. Process invoices and customer payments. Maintain accurate customer records and service history. Work closely with the service and parts departments to ensure a positive customer experience. Qualifications Previous experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, Inside Sales Representative, Automotive Service Advisor, Parts Counter, or Automotive Customer Service Representative preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Sales or upselling experience is a plus. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using computers for scheduling, invoicing, and customer records. Experience with automotive shop management software is preferred. Knowledge of diagnostics, oil changes, air brakes, and repair estimating is an asset. Dealership or automotive service center experience is highly preferred.
