Position Summary:
We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of diesel-powered trucks and trailers. While experience with heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines is a plus, we are open to training the right candidate who shows a strong work ethic, mechanical inclination, and eagerness to learn. Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on fleet equipment Conduct thorough inspections to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs Complete DOT inspections to ensure all fleet equipment complies with regulatory standards Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace Collaborate with team members to maximize efficiency and ensure fleet readiness
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Relevant technical certifications are a plus, but not required. Preferred knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, trailer maintenance, and safety protocols. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license; CDL is preferred but not required.
