Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including powertrain, electrical, suspension, and transmission. Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing or repairing faulty components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical wiring. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately troubleshoot complex electrical problems. Conduct wheel alignments and vehicle suspension system repairs to ensure optimal handling and safety standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs, welding, and maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Diagnose issues specific to diesel engines and perform necessary repairs or replacements with precision. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Experience Proven dealership or service shop experience as an automotive technician or mechanic. Strong familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and electronic systems used for troubleshooting modern vehicles. Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid services. Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required; a willingness to learn brand-specific systems is essential. Ability to interpret automotive schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately. Experience working with automotive electrical systems, powertrains, transmissions, and vehicle suspension systems. Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software effectively.
