Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components. Repair and maintain powertrain components such as engines, transmissions, and drive shafts to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs, wheel alignments, and steering system diagnostics to enhance ride quality and safety. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical problems within automotive electrical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely. Service diesel engines and work on GM vehicles or similar makes with a focus on quality workmanship. Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Qualifications Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Familiarity with schematics, automotive wiring diagrams, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and automotive electrical systems. Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, including engine repairs, transmission system repairs, vehicle suspension system repair, and wheel alignment. Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools, power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software. Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, vehicle systems, transmissions, and maintenance procedures. Strong customer service skills combined with excellent communication abilities to explain technical issues clearly. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
