In this role, you'll utilize your mechanical expertise and technical proficiency to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicle systems. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including electrical, powertrain, transmission, suspension, and ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems). Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, vehicle suspension systems, electrical wiring diagrams interpretation, and diesel engines to restore optimal vehicle performance. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently. Repair and maintain vehicle components such as wheels, brakes, alignments, steering systems, and welding tasks to ensure safety standards are met. Service vehicles by performing routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, fluid replacements, and system inspections while adhering to manufacturer specifications. Collaborate with team members on auto estimating processes to accurately assess repair costs and timelines for customer approval. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed using automotive service management software while ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Experience Proven dealership experience or similar service technician roles with a strong background in automotive repair. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and electrical systems interpretation. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures across various makes and models, including GM vehicles preferred. Skilled in working with power tools, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery. Demonstrated ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately. Experience repairing powertrain components such as transmissions and drivetrain systems; familiarity with vehicle suspension system repair is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs needed.
