Direct Hire Vehicle Maintenance Technician Opportunity Our client is seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join their rail vehicle maintenance team in Camden, NJ. This Direct Hire Vehicle Maintenance Technician position is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional with electrical troubleshooting experience looking to build a long-term career in the transportation industry. The ideal Vehicle Maintenance Technicia n has experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, enjoys hands-on work, and thrives in a team-oriented maintenance environment. Vehicle Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Perform inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on rail vehicles and related mechanical systems. Disassemble, repair, rebuild, install, align, lubricate, and reassemble hydraulic components and equipment. Perform electrical testing and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems. Remove, replace, modify, rebuild, adjust, and maintain vehicle components. Utilize specialized shop equipment, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools. Read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogs. Respond to rail vehicle service calls and emergency breakdowns as needed. Assist with training and mentoring junior maintenance technicians. Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards. Complete additional maintenance tasks and projects as assigned. Qualifications Previous mechanical maintenance experience required. Electrical troubleshooting experience strongly preferred. Experience with wiring terminations and crimping tools. Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to inspect equipment and complete repairs efficiently. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stretch, and perform physical maintenance work. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when business needs require. Why Apply?
