Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Removal and Reinstall Technician to join our dynamic automotive restoration and repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly removing and reinstalling vehicle components, ensuring precision and quality in every task. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of automotive parts, utilize advanced fabrication techniques, and contribute to restoring vehicles to their optimal condition. Duties Carefully remove vehicle parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment, ensuring no damage during disassembly Reinstall components with precision, aligning sheet metal, auto body panels, and structural elements accurately Use automotive parts installation tools for precise assembly of components and ensure proper fitment and function Assist with auto restoration projects by employing auto estimating skills and detailed knowledge of vehicle mechanics Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols during all removal and reinstall processes Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or repair shop environment Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and sanding tools Skilled in MIG welding, automotive welding equipment operation, and fabrication repair techniques Familiarity with auto body repair processes including dent repair, sheet metal work, auto painting, and auto refinishing Experience in auto glass installation, auto parts installation, and automotive cosmetic repairs is highly desirable Knowledge of automotive structural repair standards and auto restoration practices Ability to interpret auto estimating reports and work efficiently with automotive parts catalogs Physically capable of performing heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of vehicle removal and reinstallation processes
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
