If you are an A-Level Tech who can perform advanced diagnostics and repairs in all vehicle systems, including specialized Cadillac technologies, luxury vehicle systems, EV platforms, and drivability concerns, this job is for you. Duties/Responsibilities Performs work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and Cadillac factory standardsDiagnoses the cause of malfunctions and performs necessary repairs on Cadillac vehicles, including electrical, drivability, suspension, powertrain, luxury systems, and EV-related concernsUtilizes GM diagnostic equipment and service information systems to identify and resolve vehicle concernsCommunicates with the Parts Department to obtain necessary parts and materialsSaves and tags parts as required for warranty claims or customer requestsExamines assigned vehicles to determine whether additional safety, maintenance, or repair work is required or recommendedCommunicates immediately with the Service Advisor regarding additional work needed, unnecessary repairs identified, or delays affecting promised completion timesDocuments all diagnostic procedures, repairs performed, and recommendations on repair ordersConducts road tests and quality-control inspections as requiredParticipates in Cadillac and General Motors manufacturer-sponsored training programs, certification courses, and technical updatesMaintains current knowledge of Cadillac technical service bulletins, recalls, and emerging technologiesAssists in training and mentoring apprentice and B-Level techniciansReports equipment malfunctions or shop maintenance concerns to managementEnsures customer vehicles are maintained in a clean condition and promptly reports any changes to vehicle appearance or conditionMaintains a clean, organized, and safe work environmentMaintains accountability for dealership-owned tools, equipment, and service manualsUnderstands and complies with all federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA standards, hazardous waste disposal requirements, and dealership safety policiesOperates all tools and equipment safely and responsiblyReports any safety concerns immediately to managementPerforms other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities Valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving recordMinimum five (5) years of experience as an automotive technician, with luxury vehicle or Cadillac experience preferredExtensive knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic procedures, and repair techniquesAdvanced proficiency in electrical diagnostics, drivability diagnostics, and network communication systemsExperience with Cadillac luxury technologies, driver assistance systems, infotainment systems, and electric vehicle platformsStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to effectively communicate technical information to Service Advisors, management, and customers when necessaryAbility to conduct thorough vehicle inspections and accurately identify maintenance and repair needsAbility to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with dealership management systems, manufacturer service information systems, and Microsoft Office Suite Education and Experience Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceCompletion of an accredited automotive technology program preferredFive (5) or more years of progressive automotive repair experience requiredPrevious experience as a B-Level Technician strongly preferredLuxury automotive dealership experience preferredElectric vehicle service experience preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations GM Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications preferredCadillac Master Technician Certification preferredGM EV Certified TechnicianGM High Voltage Battery Repair CertificationGM World Class Technician (WCT) Certification preferredASE Master Automobile Technician Certification preferredNew Jersey State Inspector License (or applicable state inspection license)EPA Section 609 A/C Refrigerant CertificationValid Driver's License Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working in automotive shop environmentsMust be able to regularly lift and move up to fifty (50) poundsMust be able to operate automotive diagnostic equipment, power tools, and shop machineryAbility to work in varying temperatures and conditions typically found in a service departmentVisual and manual dexterity sufficient to safely diagnose and repair vehicles Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience and performance Insurance
