Perform repairs and maintenance on powertrain components, vehicle suspension systems, transmissions, and vehicle electrical systems. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately troubleshoot complex electrical problems. Repair or replace vehicle transmission systems, powertrain components, and suspension parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized diagnostic equipment to complete repairs efficiently. Conduct wheel alignments and vehicle suspension system repairs to ensure proper handling and safety. Maintain detailed records of service procedures performed and communicate findings effectively to customers. Assist in auto estimating processes by assessing repair needs and providing accurate time and cost estimates. Support ongoing training on new vehicle technologies such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and diesel engine repairs. Uphold high standards of automotive repair quality while delivering excellent customer service. Requirements Proven dealership or service center experience as an automotive technician or mechanic. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrains, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspensions. Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and interpreting schematics or wiring diagrams. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required. Familiarity with ADAS technology, vehicle alignment procedures, and automotive wiring interpretation. Ability to perform complex repairs such as diesel engine work, welding, and transmission repairs. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems and the use of relevant diagnostic software. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities for customer interactions. Valid technician certification or equivalent technical training is desirable; ongoing education on emerging vehicle technologies is encouraged.
