Automotive Technician / Quick Lube Apply Automotive Technician / Quick Lube Rockaway, NJ Description Lube Technicians work in a fast-paced environment and responsible for servicing our guests' vehicles to ensure quality workmanship. They perform Jiffy Lubes' Signature Service Oil Change, maintain, inspect, and service cars and light trucks with a focus on our guests' needs and expectations. This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success. And every J-Team member receives comprehensive training from Jiffy Lube University, our award-winning training program, for certification. Full-Time Perks

Training:
Jiffy Lube offers a fantastic training program "Jiffy Lube University" a CBT (computer-based training) program designed to provide an investment in knowledge and skills to maintain the highest level of service. This is much like technical schools offer, but in addition to online training we also provide on-the-job training (hands-on) which provides for a more balanced skill set and "you'll earn while learn".

Qualifications Previous experience is preferred with a minimum of 1-year on the job training with a dealership, automotive shop, tire center, or quick lube.   • Performing Jiffy Lube Signature Service oil change
  • 17-point Report On Condition visual safety inspection
  • Servicing filters, light bulbs, wipers, tire rotations & other minor services
  • Flush & fill coolant, transmission, power steering and other vital fluids
  • Perform clean up duties and ensure the service center is orderly and presentable Once you've become certified you will be eligible for advancement opportunities to become a Plus Tech/Mechanic, Service Advisor or Supervisor/Key Holder. Core Qualities and Traits

  • Must be able to operate equipment such as overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns, transmission machine, air conditioner service machine, radiator service machine, hand tools and basic shop equipment
  • Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed Requirements
