Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Repair and replace engines, air brakes, and other heavy equipment systems with precision. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems effectively. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Skills Experience or extensive background working in the automotive repair industry. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including diesel engines, transmissions, suspension systems, electrical components, and powertrain. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation for accurate troubleshooting. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; familiarity with auto estimating tools is advantageous. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy-duty repair machinery. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Ability to perform precise repairs such as wheel alignments, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacements, oil changes, and tire services.
