Optic Truck Works is hiring
A, B & C
Level Automotive/Truck Technicians for our growing facility in Washington, New Jersey. This is a unique opportunity to work primarily on our own company-owned inventory of FedEx delivery trucks. Most vehicles are 2020 or newer with approximately 120,000 miles or less. Our fleet is predominantly gas-powered, with some diesel vehicles. What You'll Work On Our inventory consists primarily of commercial delivery vehicles, including Ford
E-350/E-450
cutaways, Ford F-59 step vans, Freightliner/Utilimaster step vans, and similar FedEx delivery trucks. Depending on your experience level, work may include: Advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting Check-engine, ABS and electrical diagnostics Engine and drivetrain repairs Brakes, suspension and steering Cooling systems Electrical repairs Preventative maintenance Tires and general mechanical repairs Vehicle inspections and reconditioning Minor to moderate body and cosmetic repairs Preparing trucks to meet our retail standards
BODY WORK EXPERIENCE IS A HUGE PLUS
Technicians with experience in body repair, panel replacement, fiberglass, aluminum, doors, body hardware, paint preparation, or general commercial vehicle reconditioning are especially valuable to our operation.
We're Hiring All Skill Levels A-Level Technicians:
Experienced diagnostic technicians capable of handling complex electrical, drivability, engine, drivetrain and mechanical issues with minimal supervision.
B-Level Technicians:
Experienced technicians capable of independently completing most common mechanical repairs, maintenance and component replacement.
C-Level Technicians:
Developing technicians with professional shop experience who can handle maintenance, brakes, suspension, basic repairs and vehicle reconditioning while continuing to expand their diagnostic and repair skills. Commercial truck or fleet experience is preferred, but automotive technicians are encouraged to apply. Because the majority of our fleet is gasoline-powered, diesel experience is a plus but is not required. What We're Looking For Professional automotive or truck repair experience A, B or C technician skill level Own basic technician tools Strong work ethic and reliable attendance Ability to work efficiently Attention to detail Valid driver's license Ability to work independently based on experience level Commercial/fleet experience is a plus Body repair experience is a major plus Why Optic Truck Works? This isn't a traditional retail repair shop. You'll primarily be working on company-owned vehicles, not dealing with a revolving door of retail repair customers.
Our trucks are generally:
2020 or newer Under approximately 120,000 miles Primarily gas-powered Company owned We have a steady flow of inventory and consistent work available year-round. Compensation Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and technician level. A-Level technicians and candidates with advanced diagnostic, commercial truck, diesel and/or body repair experience will be compensated accordingly.
