Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Truck and Car Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain trucks, cars, heavy equipment, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and specialized machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension adjustments, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and HVAC system servicing. Repair complex mechanical systems such as transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, electrical systems, and powertrain components using hand tools and power tools. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed through welding or other fabrication techniques to ensure equipment longevity and safety. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues related to heavy equipment operation or automotive electrical systems. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to all safety protocols; conduct equipment repair and maintenance to minimize downtime. Ensure all repairs meet industry standards for vehicle systems repair including brake systems, suspension components, wheel alignment, and diesel engine repairs. Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle or piece of equipment serviced; communicate effectively with team members regarding repair status or parts needed. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive diagnostics and repair is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding; familiarity with schematics is essential for troubleshooting complex systems. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel mechanics, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, HVAC systems, and automotive electrical systems. Experience working with farm machinery or industrial equipment is advantageous. Service technician experience in vehicle maintenance for truck drivers or fleet management is highly valued. Ability to use hand tools effectively along with power tools for assembly or repairs; familiarity with soldering for electrical repairs is a plus. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
