Job Description
Job Summary Carson City Toyota is seeking a skilled and dedicated Used Car Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. ASE Certifications a HUGE plus!! Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations. Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand vehicle systems and components. Work on automotive electrical systems, ensuring proper functionality of all electrical components. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle. Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's needs and provide recommendations for repairs or maintenance. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in automotive service. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop environment. Skills Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to automotive repair. Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is a plus. ASE Certified Experience working in a dealership setting is preferred but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
