Mining / Heavy Equipment Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Lube Technician to support heavy equipment maintenance operations in the Elko and Eureka, Nevada area. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, lubrication, and routine service on a variety of mobile mining and heavy construction equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience, understands preventive maintenance practices, and is comfortable working around large equipment in an active mining or heavy industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled lubrication and preventive maintenance on heavy mobile equipment. Complete oil, filter, coolant, and fluid changes. Check and maintain engine oil, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, coolant, and gear oils. Inspect equipment during servicing for leaks, worn components, damage, or potential maintenance issues. Collect oil and fluid samples as required. Maintain accurate service and maintenance records. Communicate equipment concerns to mechanics and maintenance supervisors. Safely operate and maintain lube trucks, service trucks, pumps, hoses, and related equipment. Maintain appropriate inventory of lubricants, filters, fluids, and service supplies. Keep work areas and service vehicles clean and organized. Assist mechanics and other maintenance personnel as needed. Qualifications Previous experience as a Lube Technician, Service Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, or similar position preferred. Mining, heavy civil construction, aggregate, or heavy equipment experience preferred. Basic knowledge of diesel-powered heavy equipment. Understanding of preventive maintenance and lubrication procedures. Ability to identify common equipment leaks and mechanical concerns. Ability to safely work around large mobile equipment. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift. Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail. Equipment Experience Experience servicing equipment such as: Haul trucks Dozers Loaders Excavators Motor graders Drills and shovels Water trucks Service and support equipment Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, or similar heavy equipment Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a hands-on heavy equipment environment . Candidates with mining or heavy civil experience are highly desirable, but individuals with strong mechanical aptitude who are looking to grow their career in heavy equipment maintenance are also encouraged to apply.
