Job Description
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Mechanic Location:
Winnemucca, NV Position:
Maintain and repair all mobile equipment, including engines, chassis, and product storage and blending equipment to assure reliable, safe, and cost-effective use of company vehicles and equipment.Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of heavy mechanics or related experience
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Clean driving record
- Able to pass all background checks
- Must satisfy the requirements for a "possessor of explosives" as defined by the B.A.T.F.
- Must be able to work outside in the heat
- Proficient with basic computer software (ie… Excel,Word)
- Supply own transportation (commuting to work?)
- Knowledge of
IDS/FDRS
Ford Software- Knowledge of Insite, Detroit, CAT ET Software
- Preferably working knowledge of blast hole drills
Essential Functions:
- Repair and maintain all company vehicles and equipment to assure safe and reliable use.
- Perform field repairs to blast hole drills.
- Maintain all vehicle maintenance records to assure timely maintenance of vehicles.
- Maintain parts supply inventories and equipment to have necessary parts and supplies readily available and to control costs.
- Purchase parts and supplies needed for repair and maintenance of vehicles to fulfill maintenance requirements and to be cost effective.
- Supervise helpers to meet vehicle and equipment maintenance standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions.
- Knowledgeable and use practices consistent with company policies and procedures from applicable technical modules, SOPs, work site, and safety policies and procedures.
- Knowledgeable of, and comply with applicable DOT, OSHA, MSHA, EPA and BATFE.
- Ability to work accurately with numbers and perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Maintain safe working conditions and assure that all crew members and others on the site follow all safety and regulatory procedures and practices to ensure a safe and successful event.
