Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Technical school certificate in diesel, heavy equipment, or automotive technology preferred. 3 to 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining aerial lift equipment, utility trucks, cranes, digger derricks, or similar heavy equipment. Valid driver's license required. CDL Class A or B preferred. Ability to obtain or maintain required aerial equipment certifications. Knowledge and Skills Advanced knowledge of: Hydraulic systems and controls Electrical and multiplex wiring systems Diesel and gasoline engines Pneumatic systems Mechanical drivetrains and PTO systems Boom and basket structural components Ability to read and interpret: Hydraulic schematics Wiring diagrams Service manuals ANSI inspection criteria Proficient with diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools.
