Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Automotive Heavy Duty Body Shop Estimator/Biller to join our fast-paced team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing the extent of damage on heavy-duty vehicles, preparing detailed repair estimates, and managing the billing process to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and strong customer service skills will drive efficient operations and foster positive relationships with clients and technicians alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your auto estimating skills while contributing to a leading automotive repair facility dedicated to excellence in heavy-duty vehicle repairs. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles to identify damages and necessary repairs Collaborate with service technicians and mechanics to understand repair scopes and timelines Manage billing processes, including parts, labor, and additional charges, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair estimates, approvals, and updates throughout the repair process Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension repairs, brake repairs, air brake systems, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, transmissions, and other automotive services Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, work orders, and billing documentation in compliance with company policies Assist in parts ordering and inventory management as needed to support repair operations Qualifications Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management within a heavy-duty or commercial vehicle environment Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures Experience with auto service writing process Familiarity with a wide range of automotive repair services including transmissions, oil changes, alignments, suspension work, tire service, brake repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, and automobile sales Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred Join our team today if you're passionate about heavy-duty automotive repairs and eager to deliver exceptional service! Pay:
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour
