Passenger Service Technician Job Type:
Full-Time Pay Rate:
$17.00 per hour Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Passenger Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience servicing passenger vehicles and tires, strong mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining safe, reliable, and well-functioning vehicles. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and tire services while maintaining accurate service records and a clean, organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Perform tire services, including inspection, rotation, replacement, balancing, and related repairs. Inspect and test vehicles to identify maintenance and repair needs. Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, engine tune-ups, and other routine services. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues. Identify and repair engine and vehicle system failures. Replace worn or defective parts and components as needed. Conduct test drives to verify vehicle safety, performance, and serviceability. Adjust vehicle controls and systems to ensure proper operation. Perform required inspections and testing to ensure compliance with applicable state vehicle safety and emissions requirements. Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, services, and repairs. Maintain service equipment by following operating procedures, troubleshooting problems, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating repairs when necessary. Monitor shop inventory and supplies; place orders and verify deliveries. Stay current with automotive technology and repair practices through training, educational opportunities, and technical publications. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service area. Follow all applicable safety procedures and company policies. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum age of 18. High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience servicing passenger vehicles and/or passenger vehicle tires. Valid driver's license. Must provide and maintain your own basic mechanic's tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
