SERVICE ADVISOR / SERVICE WRITER RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet customers and assist with service needs Write repair orders and document customer concerns Recommend maintenance and repairs based on technician findings Communicate repair timelines, costs, and updates to customers Coordinate with technicians to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs Manage workflow and ensure timely completion of service Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and CSI scores Upsell services and increase service department revenue
SERVICE ADVISOR / SERVICE WRITER QUALIFICATIONS
Experience as a service advisor, service writer, or automotive service consultant Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to sell recommended services and build customer trust Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment
SERVICE ADVISOR SKILLS
Strong skills in customer service, sales, communication, and automotive service operations. Experience writing repair orders, upselling services, managing customer relationships, and coordinating with technicians. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, maintenance, and repair processes. Ability to handle high-volume customer interactions, manage workflow, and maintain high CSI scores. Experience as a service advisor, service writer, service consultant, or automotive customer service professional in a dealership or repair facility is preferred.
