$53,910 annually Actual salary based on education and experience Benefits + NYS Retirement System Queensbury Union Free School District is seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Mechanic/Bus Driver to join its Transportation Department. This position performs skilled repair and maintenance on district vehicles and equipment while also safely transporting students on an assigned school bus route. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles, including buses, trucks, and tractors. Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, ignition systems, and other mechanical components. Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups. Complete minor welding repairs and install or remove auxiliary equipment. Safely transport students on an assigned school bus route. Help ensure district vehicles and equipment remain safe, reliable, and in proper operating condition. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience as a skilled automotive repairman or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Special Requirements Candidates must meet the following requirements: Possession of the appropriate level New York State Driver's License . Drivers must be at least 21 years of age . Candidates must satisfy all requirements for School Bus Drivers set forth in the Rules and Regulations of the New York State Commissioner of Education. Apply Today!
