Job Description
The Service Advisor/Writer is responsible for writing repair orders, sourcing out parts for repairs, selling recommended repairs to customers, interacting with technicians etc. In addition, this position includes answering phones, scheduling customer service repairs, and cashiering/handling of money Specific Responsibilities include: 1) Establish superior communication and rapport with customers. 2) Utilize CDK application to schedule service work 3) Discuss and sell needed additional service work 4) Provide explanation of service repairs performed and customer charges at time of pickup 5) Establish superior relationship with vendors and parts suppliers 6) Ordering and in some cases billing out parts and labor to repair orders 7) Provide a positive atmosphere with all technicians and shop personnel The Ideal Applicant should have: 1) 1 or more years of experience working in an automotive facility. 2) Intermediate experience of automobile technology and systems. 3) Computer skills working with dealer management system and windows 4) Great communicative skills and articulates clearly. 5) Clean NYS drivers license
