Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. Your expertise will guide and mentor technicians, coordinate complex repairs, and uphold the highest standards of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair. Duties Lead and supervise a team of automotive technicians, providing mentorship, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality repairs. Perform advanced diagnostics using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently. Conduct comprehensive repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and other mechanical systems. Oversee vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, wheel balancing, and auto body repairs. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive tools to execute repairs with precision. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems on various vehicle makes including GM vehicles. Ensure all work complies with dealership standards, safety protocols, and industry regulations while maintaining a focus on customer service excellence. Skills Extensive dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair industry standards. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Expertise in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), auto body repair, auto estimating, and heavy equipment mechanics. Skilled in diesel engine repair, transmission repair (including powertrain), brake repair, suspension systems repair (including shocks & struts), and wheel alignment. Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience working with power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools for mechanical systems repair. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures such as oil changes, tire service, wheel balancing, and vehicle inspections. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and auto body repair processes is a plus.
