Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with a strong focus on diagnostics, engine repair, and vehicle systems. This role involves performing a wide range of repairs and services to ensure customer vehicles are operating safely and efficiently. The position offers an opportunity to work with a reputable dealership or automotive service center committed to quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics Perform engine repairs, including diesel engine repair, powertrain, and transmission work Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, suspension, shocks & struts, brake repairs, and vehicle maintenance Service vehicle electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and auto body repairs as needed Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and installations Repair or replace vehicle components including axles, transmissions, brakes, shocks & struts, and electrical systems Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and auto estimating documents Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications Qualifications Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with dealership experience preferred Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain, transmissions, suspension, alignment, and brake repair Familiarity with Schematics, ADAS technology, diesel engines, GM vehicles, welding skills, and auto body repair is advantageous Proficiency with hand tools and power tools required for various repair tasks Excellent mechanical knowledge coupled with the ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs Ability to read technical manuals and auto estimating documents accurately Certification or training in automotive repair is preferred but not mandatory Valid driver's license required for road testing vehicles after repairs This role offers an engaging environment for experienced automotive professionals eager to apply their skills in a dynamic setting focused on quality service.
