Automotive Service Advisor / Shop Operations JK's Auto Service White Plains, NY Job Details Full-time $75,000 - $100,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Service writing Customer communication Sales Auto service management Attention to detail Estimating for automotive body repair Full Job Description Experienced Automotive Service Advisor - Independent Repair Shop | Monday-Friday | Growth Opportunity We're looking for an experienced automotive service advisor/service writer to join a busy, close-knit independent repair shop. This is not a dealership-style position where you only write tickets. Our service advisor is involved in the full process — working with customers, technicians, estimates, parts, approvals, scheduling, and keeping the day moving smoothly. What We're Looking For Real automotive experience required Strong understanding of repairs, parts, and automotive terminology Able to clearly explain repairs and recommendations to customers Comfortable building estimates and following up on approvals Experience ordering, verifying, receiving, and returning parts Able to coordinate closely with technicians and manage workflow Tech savvy and comfortable with shop software, texting, email, and online catalogs Organized, dependable, and able to handle a busy environment Strong communication skills Positive attitude and team-first mentality We need someone who can talk to a technician about a repair, understand what they're saying, and then explain it to the customer in a way that makes sense. Growth Opportunity This is a position with room to grow. We want someone who can take on more responsibility over time, increase their earning potential through performance and sales, and potentially grow into a management role as the business continues to expand.
