Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Service Advisor/Writer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the vital link between our customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring smooth communication, accurate vehicle assessments, and efficient service processes. Your enthusiasm for automotive repair and customer satisfaction will drive success in this fast-paced environment. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service needs Provide clear explanations of repair recommendations, estimates, and service options using estimating software Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, shocks & struts, and collision repairs to enhance customer value Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services Manage cash handling transactions accurately while maintaining detailed service records Communicate effectively with clients about vehicle diagnostics, repair progress, and vehicle maintenance tips Utilize automotive diagnostics tools and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems to prepare precise estimates Requirements Proven experience as a Service Advisor or Service Writer in an automotive dealership or repair shop Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including oil changes, alignments, suspension, brakes, shocks & struts, tire service, and collision repair Familiarity with estimating software and automotive diagnostic tools Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and professionalism Dealership experience preferred; mechanic experience is a plus for better understanding of repairs Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicles safely Basic computer skills including familiarity with auto estimating programs and service management software Our dealership maintains a strong policy of equal employment opportunity for all associates.
