Overview We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role involves effectively communicating with customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, and coordinating with our service technicians to ensure timely and quality service. A background in dealership service writing, auto estimating, and automotive service is highly valued to provide accurate assessments and professional support throughout the service process. Duties Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport to understand their vehicle concerns. Write detailed and accurate service orders, ensuring clear communication of customer needs to the service technicians. Conduct auto estimating by assessing vehicle issues, recommending appropriate repairs, and providing cost estimates to customers. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services. Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle repairs, including any additional work needed or delays. Upsell additional services or maintenance based on customer needs while maintaining integrity and transparency. Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions, repair orders, and estimates in accordance with dealership policies. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and follow-up after repairs are completed. Requirements Proven experience in automotive service writing, auto estimating, or dealership service departments is preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive systems, repairs, and maintenance procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers. Ability to accurately assess vehicle conditions and prepare detailed estimates. Customer-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license may be required depending on dealership policies.
