Job Description
Automotive Service Advisor - Cambridge Truck Cambridge Truck is looking for an organized and dependable Automotive Service Advisor to manage the daily flow of our service operation. This role will handle both internal and customer-pay repair orders, with the majority of the workload focused on internal and vehicle reconditioning work. What You'll Do Manage the daily flow of internal, reconditioning, and customer-pay repair orders Write accurate repair orders based on customer concerns and vehicle inspections Build complete reconditioning estimates and obtain manager approval before work begins Coordinate repairs between technicians, parts, sales, management, and customers Track every vehicle and repair order throughout the process Prioritize work based on sales needs, customer commitments, and delivery deadlines Communicate repair status, delays, approvals, and expected completion times Ensure parts are ordered and available when technicians need them Present repair recommendations and obtain authorization from customers Review completed work and prepare repair orders for invoicing Maintain accurate notes, estimates, approvals, and supporting documentation Identify bottlenecks and keep vehicles moving efficiently through the shop What We're Looking For Previous automotive service advisor, reconditioning, or dealership experience preferred Working knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple vehicles and repair orders at once Strong communication and follow-through Comfortable building estimates and explaining recommended repairs Able to work closely with management and follow approval processes Dependable, accountable, and capable of working independently Team-focused attitude with an emphasis on speed, quality, and productivity Why Join Cambridge Truck?
