    Position:
    Trailer Technician / Trailer Mechanic The Trailer Technician is responsible for performing diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repair on a wide range of trailers, including dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, cargo trailers, and utility trailers. This role requires experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems while ensuring all equipment meets DOT and safetypliance standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on trailers Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine trailer servicing Repair or replace brake systems, suspensions, axles, landing gear, and wheel-endponents Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, wiring, and electricalponents Complete frame, body, and structural repairs, including welding and fabrication Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all work meets regulatory andpany standards Use diagnostic tools, equipment, and repair manuals to identify issues Document all repairs and maintain accurate work orders in the maintenance system Maintain a clean, safe, andpliant work environment Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair needs Required Qualifications Experience as a Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Fleet Technician, or similar role Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in trailer repair and maintenance Knowledge of brake systems, suspension systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and DOT requirements Ability to use shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding/fabrication tools Ability to lift, move, and work with heavy equipment and trailerponents Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Commitment to a safe work environment and regulatorypliance Preferred Qualifications Welding and fabrication experience Previous experience in the transportation, trucking, or fleet maintenance industry strongly preferred Experience working with multiple trailer types (dry van, flatbed, reefer, utility, etc.) strongly preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment Skills Keywords Trailer repair, trailer technician, trailer mechanic, fleet maintenance, PM service, preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, brake repair, welding, fabrication, suspension repair, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic systems, mechanical repair, trucking industry, transportation equipment, shop technician, diesel repair support, vehicle inspection, trailer diagnostics.
