This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems with a focus on Chrysler and GM vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical expertise, including automotive electrical systems, engine repair, and powertrain diagnostics, ensuring vehicles are serviced efficiently and to the highest standards. As a key member of our service department, you will contribute to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction through expert vehicle repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on complex vehicle systems utilizing advanced automotive diagnostic tools and schematics. Conduct repairs on engines, including diesel engine repair and automotive engine system troubleshooting. Service and maintain vehicle powertrain components, including transmission and drivetrain systems. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to diagnose electrical issues within automotive electrical systems. Execute mechanical repairs such as engine overhaul, alignment, suspension work, and general vehicle maintenance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and manual handling techniques to complete repairs efficiently and safely. Perform ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration and repairs to ensure optimal vehicle safety features. Conduct heavy lifting as required for component replacement or repair tasks. Maintain detailed records of diagnostics, repairs, and parts used in compliance with dealership standards. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction. Experience Proven dealership experience as an automotive technician with a focus on Chrysler or GM vehicles preferred. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and diagnostics. Hands-on experience with automotive engine technology, including diesel engines. Familiarity with automotive repair procedures for both standard passenger cars and heavy-duty vehicles. Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools such as scan tools and oscilloscopes. Mechanical knowledge covering vehicle maintenance, powertrain components, alignment procedures, and vehicle systems. Experience interpreting schematics for electrical wiring and system troubleshooting. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling protocols. Strong customer service skills combined with mechanical expertise to ensure positive client interactions.
