Job Description

Job Summary Diamond in the Ruff Mobile Pet Spa is seeking a dependable and motivated Fleet & Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This position focuses primarily on maintaining our fleet of mobile grooming vans, along with assisting in the general upkeep of our commercial property and buildings. Our grooming vans operate similarly to RVs and contain generators, air conditioners, heaters, dryers, plumbing systems, electrical components, lighting, grooming equipment, and more. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and comfortable troubleshooting a variety of maintenance issues. This role also includes basic property maintenance such as mowing, replacing filters and light bulbs, minor repairs, cleaning, and helping keep our facility and grounds in excellent condition. Dog hair and pets will be present daily, so applicants must be comfortable around dogs and not have pet allergies.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and preventative care on grooming vans and generators Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and equipment issues Install or replace items such as switches, light bulbs, handles, latches, filters, hoses, and fixtures Detail and clean van interiors and exteriors Drive vans to outside repair facilities when needed Change tires and assist with basic vehicle upkeep Maintain inventory of common maintenance parts and supplies Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner Perform general property upkeep including mowing, weed control, trash removal, seasonal cleanup, and light building maintenance Replace HVAC filters, light bulbs, and perform other routine facility maintenance Help keep shop, work areas, and grounds clean and organized Communicate clearly with office staff, groomers, and owners Work independently while effectively troubleshooting issues
Experience:
Experience in maintenance, handyman work, RV systems, fleet maintenance, or small engines preferred Basic understanding of generators, electrical systems, plumbing, or mechanical repair is a plus Ability to lift and move equipment and work in indoor/outdoor environments Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required Comfortable around dogs and grooming environments
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
