Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our fast-paced dealership team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills will ensure a seamless experience for clients while driving service sales and fostering long-term relationships. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed service orders, accurately estimating repair costs using automotive estimating software Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and recommended services Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, suspension work, and collision repairs to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue Manage cash handling, invoicing, and processing payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business Maintain thorough records of all service transactions, client interactions, and vehicle histories Requirements Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a dealership environment Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, oil changes, brake repair, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and collision repair processes Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and service writing best practices Join us in delivering outstanding automotive care!
