Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive and heavy equipment repair, showcasing expertise in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues. This role requires hands-on experience with various machinery, including excavators, cranes, and farm equipment. The Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are maintained to the highest standards of safety and performance. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and heavy equipment, including tractors, forklifts, and industrial machinery. Diagnose mechanical problems using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to determine necessary repairs. Conduct repairs on transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly and repair tasks. Execute tire service and brake repair as needed to ensure vehicle safety. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used during repairs. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle maintenance needs. Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues as they arise. Requirements Proven experience as a Mechanic with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including excavators, backhoes, & heavy equipment. Experience with electrical systems is a plus; soldering skills are beneficial. Ability to lift heavy objects safely as part of the job requirements. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately.
