Job Description

CSI Aerospace, Inc., a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation specializing in the repair of air data probes and aircraft accessories is seeking a Senior CNC Machinist with a proven track record as a highly skilled machinist. In depth knowledge and understanding of complex blueprints and schematics, set up, programming and operation of CNC machines, and conformance to specifications. The ideal candidates will have a deep knowledge of CNC machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance. Candidate should have a strong understanding of quality control analysis.

Job Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Perform complex machining operations on a variety of materials

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed drawing

Monitors and adjusts schedule to respond to internal production requirements

Troubleshoot parts and machine problems

Coordinate with other departments to achieve company needs, work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other machinists to ensure parts meet design intent.

Responsible for CSI's tooling design and maintenance which includes New Product Development and Production tooling.

Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing environment

Performs other related duties as required.

Specialized Knowledge or Abilities:

Extensive experience in operating and programming CNC machines

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints

Expertise in using precision measuring instruments and gauges

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and changing work environment

Demonstrated advanced expertise, leadership, and teaching ability.

Language:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Solidworks & Esprit programming software

Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Organizational Skills:

Strong organizational skills, strict attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize as necessary.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience:

Five (5) years related experience, Hands-on experience through apprenticeships or on-the-job training is essential while proficient in CNC technology and metalworking. Post-secondary certificates or associate degrees in machining or manufacturing are preferred. Experience operating a Swiss machine preferred, but not required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate DOT-FAA Safety Sensitive position.
