We are looking for a dependable Fleet Parts Runner / Mechanic Helper to support our fleet maintenance operation in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The job location is Stillwater, OK. The primary purpose of this position is to support our mechanics by handling parts and supply runs, shop support, and basic maintenance tasks, allowing our experienced technicians to spend more of their time diagnosing and repairing equipment. We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, willing to work, and mechanically inclined. For someone interested in becoming a mechanic, this is also an opportunity to work alongside experienced technicians and learn the trade. Primary Responsibilities Parts and Shop Support Pick up parts and supplies from local parts stores, dealerships, vendors, and other company locations Deliver parts and supplies to the shop, mechanics, and company job sites as needed Help locate and source parts when directed by mechanics or fleet management Pick up and return cores, warranty parts, and incorrect parts Receive and organize incoming parts and supplies Keep commonly used shop supplies stocked and organized Help maintain parts and fluid inventory Make sure mechanics have the parts and supplies they need to keep repairs moving Help keep the shop, parts areas, and work areas clean and organized Mechanic Helper / Light Maintenance When parts-running and shop-support responsibilities allow, this position will also assist with basic maintenance and repairs, including: Oil and filter changes Greasing trucks and equipment Checking and servicing fluids Replacing air and fuel filters Replacing batteries, lights, wiper blades, and other basic components Basic tire maintenance Assisting mechanics with repairs Cleaning parts and preparing components for installation Helping move vehicles and equipment around the shop Performing basic preventive-maintenance inspections Other light mechanical work based on experience and ability As skills develop, additional mechanical responsibilities may be added.

Required Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License Good Driving Record Ability to safely operate company pickup trucks Reliable transportation to and from work Basic familiarity with hand tools Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed Helpful, but Not Required (We are willing to train the right person!) Previous automotive, diesel, farm, construction or equipment experience Automotive or diesel vocational/technical education Experience changing oil and performing basic vehicle maintenance Experience driving a pickup and a trailer Basic knowledge of trucks and equipment Personal hand tools CDL Opportunity to Grow This position can be more than a parts-running job for someone who wants to learn. You'll have the opportunity to work around experienced mechanics maintaining a diverse fleet of light-duty vehicles, heavy trucks, diesel equipment, construction equipment, hydraulic systems, and off-highway assets.
